Gurteen Celtic 5 Abbey United 7

Our u16s travelled to gurteen tonight to play in the semi final of the cup, Abbey came flying out of the traps to take an early 2.0 lead with bruno scoring twice in the first 5 mins, gurteen hit back on the 10th min with a well worked goal. Abbey kept going all out attack and again leading goalscorer bruno got his hatrick with good work from kyler rooney for the assist.bruno made it 4 on the 25th min with a neat finish from a clever pass from Scott gethens. Wasn’t long till gurteen got another back to keep Abbey players on their toes Abbey broke again to make it 5 with Scott scoring the 5th. Gurteen with a never die attitude got the game back to 5.4 before keelan noonan scored a bullet header from a travis conlon corner. Right from kick off stephen mc donagh pulled off a great save to keep gurteen at bay. Abbey broke from the resulting corner as bruno turned provider to cross in to alfie Fitzgerald to score a bullet header at the back post. The game finished 7.5
