Great game this morning in Cranmore between the two newly promoted team’s in the top division.

Abbey started strong keeping Coolaney pinned into their own half for the first few minutes before the game opened up as both team’s went all out attack & it was end to end action for most of the first half.

Second half Abbey picked it up a level & started to really dominate the game with chance after chance & it only seemed a matter of time before they broke the deadlock.

Abbey continued to pile the pressure on a very resolute & strong Coolaney defence but midway through the second half all the pressure paid off with a great team move finished off by Jordan Njoka & a fine assist from Lee Regan.. 1-0 Abbey⚽

It was more of the same for the rest of the second half with Abbey pushing & pushing for that second goal but Coolaney defended brilliantly throughout.

Late drama right at the end from a Coolaney corner which was expertly cleared off the line by Hunter Cahill & made sure of the victory for Abbey.

Absolutely brilliant from all the lad’s with a really dominant performance from start to finish👏👏
