Abbey United u13sA team took a win yesterday against an unwavering Yeats United. Abbey started strong with Jordan Njoka and Lee Regan scoring early in the first half followed by a goal from Bella Omar Bebo. Yeats United scored to make it 3-1 before Jayce Murray opened his Abbey account with a goal on his u13 debut for the club just before half time.
Yeats came back out in the second half scoring two quick goals tightening the gap and then proceeded to have a strong spell of play high on confidence only for Lee Regan to pop in another great goal creating some breathing space. Until Yeats United were given a penalty to narrow the gap to just one again. Leaving for a nervous finish but Abbey kept pushing till the end running out 5-4 victors. In front of a great crowd in Cranmore.
Well done to all the lads and coaches on both sides was a very entertaining game.
