ABBEY UTD 6 BENBULBEN 4

What a game tonight in mc sharry Park as our u18s played Benbulben FC in the cup semi final, both teams started well with benbulben winning the battle in midfield early on. Abbey stepped it up and 15mins in won a free kick for a foul on the lively jayden barlow up front, up stepped Ashton conlon to bury the free kick and give Abbey the lead. Abbey scored again shortly after from a tight angle finish from jayden barlow. Benbulben got a goal back just before half time.

Early into the 2nd half Abbey scored again with barlow side footing in from 2 yards out. But benbulben never gave up and hit back quickly to make it 3-2, bruno broke thru the defence to make it 4-2 with a neat finish (great to see him back after 6 weeks out) ciaran pena scored a superb chip from 20 yards out to make it 5. Benbulben came back strong for the last 10 mins and got 2 goals to make it a tense finish. In the last minute Benbulben got a corner Abbey cleared it down the line to bruno who out paced the defender and finish one v one on the keeper. The lads will have a final to look forward to and no more then they deserve
