Another exciting evening of football in front of a huge crowd again, as there was always going to be some interesting results with only two teams going through to the quarter-finals.Carbury v Sligo AGS saw a tight first half with chances on both sides, but no one was able to break the deadlock until the second half when Carbury opened the scoring and continued to score to put 3 points on the board.
The Surfer Boys from Strandhill took on Cartron in the second game with Clive Brennan and Bradley Fowley netting one apiece for Cartron and Max Stafford getting one. Cartron stayed on the pitch as they had a convincing win over Sligo AGS.
The Surfer Boys needed a win to have any hopes of progressing to the quarter-finals, and in a great game, they did just that with a tight 4-3 win over Carbury, The Surfer Boys, with back-to-back games convincingly beat Sligo AGS, with the boys from Strandhill finishing their evening on 6 points.
Setting up a finale between Cartron and Carbury that could see 3 teams all finish on 6 points and the table being settled by goal difference, this sounds very familiar. However, Cartron did not let go to goal difference, beating Carbury 3-2 to finish with 3 wins from 3, topping the table.
Cartron United and The Surfer Boys join Wildcard City and Coolaney in the quarter-finals.

Clive Brennan of Cartron United takes up the mantle of top goal scorer with 7 goals, followed by Conor McKeon for the Surfer Boys on 5.
Another great evening in front of another massive crowd, thank you all who participated and attended. What will be in store for tomorrow when Group C lines out at Sean Fallon Park.
