Abbey u15s took on Yeats on a very sunny Sunday afternoon in Cranmore, after a couple of Abbey balls fizzed across the Yeats goal the visitors took the lead, but Abbey weren’t going to let them get comfortable as Keelan Noonan threaded a ball through to Hunter Cahill who tucked away the equaliser. Abbey kept piling on the pressure with a goal seemingly not far away with Alfie Fitzgerald hitting the underside of the cross bar twice and constant attacks from Jack Farrell on the left, eventually the deadlock was broken as a Ronan McNally shot was saved by keeper only for Alfie to follow in for Abbeys seconds. A long ball for Eoghan MacGiolla Mhartain in the Abbey goals found Jack Farrell to make it 3-1 and Jack scored his second and Abbeys 4th of the day. Yeats pulled one back in the remaining minutes to make it 4-2.
